How to erase your personal data from Alcophone

Your Personal Data Lives on Your Device

Alcophone is built privacy-first. All of your personal data — drink history, body measurements, preferences, achievements, and BAC calculations — is stored only on your device. We do not run user accounts, and your personal information is never uploaded to or stored on any server of ours.

This means you are always in full control, and deleting it is instant and complete.

How to Delete All Your Data

From within the app:

  1. Open Alcophone
  2. Tap the Settings tab
  3. Scroll down to Privacy & Legal
  4. Tap “Erase All Data”
  5. Confirm when prompted (two-step confirmation)

What Gets Deleted

  • All drink history and BAC calculations
  • Personal profile (age, weight, height, body measurements)
  • Preferences and settings
  • Achievement progress
  • Calorie tracking data
  • All cached data

What About Analytics & Crash Reports?

If you have left analytics or crash reporting enabled, the app sends Google (via Firebase) a small amount of anonymous usage data. This is important to understand:

  • It is not linked to your identity. Alcophone never collects your name, email, or any personal identifier, so this data is tied only to a random, anonymous app identifier — not to you. There is no “account” for us to look up, and no email-based request can match the data back to you, because no such link exists.
  • You can stop it at any time. Go to Settings > Privacy & Legal and turn off the Analytics and Crash Reporting toggles. Once off, nothing further is collected or transmitted.
  • It expires on its own. Anonymous analytics data is automatically deleted by Google after 14 months, and crash data after 90 days. Resetting the app or reinstalling it generates a new anonymous identifier, disconnecting any future data from past activity.
  • The trial record contains no personal data. If you started a free trial, an anonymous identifier and a few timestamps are stored to prevent trial abuse. It holds no name, email, or device contact information of any kind.

In short: there is no personal profile of you on any server. The only place your real, identifiable data exists is on your own device — and the steps above erase it completely.

What Is NOT Affected

  • Premium purchase — Your purchase is tied to your Google Play account, not the app. You can restore it anytime.
  • Analytics opt-in/out — If you opted out of crash reporting or analytics, that choice is preserved.

This action is permanent

Once erased, your on-device data cannot be recovered. Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, there is no server backup to restore from. The app will return to its initial setup screen.

Alternative: Uninstall

Uninstalling Alcophone from your device also removes all locally stored data. The result is the same as using the in-app erase function.
